Friends and Heroes, a UK produced animated adventure series for children,
featuring Bible Stories from both Old and New Testaments, completed its first UK broadcast on the BBC's CBBC
channel in March 2007.

Based in a fascinating and turbulent period
of history - the First Century AD - Friends and Heroes places children’s action-adventure
stories within a vivid historical context. It will entertain, educate
and inform the audience, introducing a new generation, whatever their
faith, to the stories of the Old and New Testament. By setting the
Bible stories in a living context, amongst the people who kept them
alive as they passed them on ‘down the line’ to their
own children, the series has a very a natural flow and pace.
